It’s that time of year again, 4th of July! It’s such a great day to celebrate our country’s independence, as well as spending casual time with our families. Backyard barbecues, fireworks shows, Old Navy flag tees and country music come to my mind when I think of 4th of July. It can get a little old doing the same thing year after year, so I’m sharing unique things to do on the 4th of July.

- Have a bonfire where you make s’mores and sing songs in rounds
- Go to the pool with a fancy floatie
- Try ice blocking down a hill
- Go on a hike
- Host a lip sync battle of the best patriotic and American songs
- Make a patriotic-themed, Pinterest-worthy dessert
- Watch a silent movie in your backyard while the fireworks are going off
- Go to a Veterans hospital and sing patriotic songs to show gratitude for those who served for us
- Have a fireworks afterparty where you shoot off your own fireworks with your friends
- Watch a war movie like Saving Private Ryan or Dunkirk
- Make homemade red, white & blue snow cones
- Have a patriotic runway show, seeing who can come up with the craftiest outfits
