It’s a messy, winding journey-one that I love to share.

For quite some time, I thought I was destined to live my life as a slave to Murphy’s Law. I really wanted to rename it McKenzie’s Law, because everything that could go wrong always went wrong. I felt cursed.
Left and right, for my entire adult life, I’ve endured numerous emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive relationships, sexual assaults, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I thought I could never catch a break, never actually be happy or successful. Then, I learned I had to change my mindset and raise my self worth. That the only way out was to do the work.
I set out to do the work, and along the way, I transformed. I found my excitement for living again! I released the past and I no longer was afraid of being myself and showing up as myself.
This is why I’m here.
And that’s why I created Wise Soul. To be a healing and growing space, to uplift as we journey and find our way. I believe the best guides are those that have been exactly where you have been. They have climbed out of the trenches you find yourself in, and are able to empathize and understand, and can share how to climb out, while holding your hand.
I hope Wise Soul can be a safe place for you to come and feel held and uplifted, and help you transform into the person you know in your bones is inside you.
Thank you for being here. There are some exciting things on the way, so make sure to sign up for the newsletter to stay in the loop!
what I believe in
Finding the hope and the joy in every moment is an exciting opportunity to reach for more. There is good here, even in the in between.
The brokenness we feel is not a life sentence or a label that we have to carry. Healing is our pathway to happiness.
In an ego-centric world, the biggest act of defiance is choosing to love; responding with compassion instead of hurt.
