Bookstore Musings
Bookstores are the perfect escape during winter. I love exploring bookstores or libraries. It seems time stops and you just are surrounded by words, picking which ones speak to you the most.
I have fond memories from middle school when my dad and I used to venture to Books A Million and peruse for hours trying to find a new read. Our favorite part was that they didn’t close till 11:00 pm, so us night owls could take our time. 😊
It’s been a while since I’ve read a fiction book. I truly enjoy escaping into another world. It’s like a pre-written daydream, which is what I’m very fond of doing frequently. It opens your eyes to new perspectives and unimaginable wonders. It allows your creativity to soar. You can travel a million miles away all in a day while reading a book. That’s what I love. Mini escapes.
Some fiction reads that I always have on hand are:
- The Host by Stephenie Meyer (Yes, the same gal who wrote Twilight, but seriously, I love this one!)
- Scrambled Eggs at Midnight by Brad Barkeley and Heather Hepler
- Dream Factory by Brad Barkeley and Heather Hepler
