How we perceive our lives, our world, our day to day, is really all in our heads. With a little headwork we can transform a bad outlook into a positive one. It’s not a fast process, nor an easy process. Most of us have negative habits embedded into our brains (because we’re human) to pick apart things, judge others, make up excuses, and, most of all, be super hard on ourselves. But, if we utilize this concept called Mind over Matter, we can change the way we see the world and become who we are meant to become.
Does this sound like you?
We believe our life sucks.
We think we can’t stick to working out because of “this excuse” or because it’s too hard.
There’s all of these reasons why we will fail, so we give up instead of fighting through it.
We let our fears and anxieties talk us out of being great.
Utilizing Mind over Matter matters because it’s the thing that sets us apart from reaching our highest potential.
So how do we implement Mind Over Matter into our lives?
Willpower is a part of our brains that we use to push past our discomfort, our worries, our excuses and keep going. It’s shutting up the voice inside that says “I can’t do this.” It’s roaring like a lion, feeling the fear, and doing it anyway. It’s breaking your safe boundaries and discovering the unknown, untapped potential within you. Willpower is there. We just have to access it.
How do we access willpower?
We stop giving up. Quitting when it gets hard. Just deciding we’re going to push through. Even when you feel like on a scale from 1-10, you only have a 2% of motivation to keep going, you keep going regardless. That is willpower. That is strength, and that is mind over matter. It’s telling your brain that you’re stronger than you think and just doing it.
Because you can do anything you set your mind to.
So what is it that you’re going to do? Because nothing is stopping you except your mind.
