How to Manage Your Time When You Wear Many Hats
Millionaires usually have around 3-7 sources of income. So if you’ve got multiple hustles, they are legitimate and are bringing you towards your financial goals and life goals. That doesn’t mean it isn’t overwhelming and stressful.
As someone that has been known as or is currently known as a store owner, student, sales associate, actress, blogger, model, and singer…just to name a few, you need something that can help you stay sane amidst all of the madness that comes with your hustles and side hustles. I’m sharing how I stay sane with all of the hats I wear. I hope these tips can help you as well.
SCHEDULE EVERYTHING OUT
I use a Happy Planner which helps me to stay on top of every different thing I’m doing. The one I got has different sections that I can use for my different jobs/activities.
Everyday, I have my to do list, my schedule, and business tasks written down. I also try to write down my 1-3 goals that must get done for the day.
ALLOW FOR “ME” TIME
If I don’t get time to recharge my batteries, alone in my room, I feel like a robot that’s about to combust from overheating. Allow at least 30 minutes a day that you can take a break and do what you want to do. Like catching up on a funny show (like Superstore or Brooklyn 99 for me), painting your nails, taking a nap, reading a book, or just chilling and doing absolutely nothing.
GET UP EARLIER
EAT WELL
Your body deserves nutrients. It fuels your mind, your energy, your mood…I could go on and on. Take care of your body and you’ll be able to be so much more productive and feel a ton better.
I found this article on easy and healthy snacks that I use for my snacks throughout the day.
LEARN TO LAUGH AT YOURSELF AND YOUR MISTAKES
SLEEP 7-8 HOURS
Caffeine is not an option to constantly keep you going. Making sleep a priority will help you stay healthy and, let’s be real, SANE.
When I don’t get enough sleep, I’m cranky, unproductive, and just done with life. Sleep sleep sleep. And if you feel tired during the day, take a 20 minute power nap. It’s proven to increase productiveness.
CARVE YOUR OWN PATH
It’s always a good idea to read up on how people have been successful in your field. Take a few notes, but don’t use them as your bible. Throw out those notes, if you want! There isn’t just ONE way to do things. Even if it’s never been done before, carve your path in your own way and see if it works!
Their way worked for them. Do what works for you. And start that by being you.
