8 Mantras for Confidence
I BELONG HERE.
I RELEASE WHAT I CANNOT CHANGE.
The past has passed and it’s time to let go of our regrets. Those choices we made have shaped where we are now. And no matter what, I promise you it will work out.
EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY.
Like I said above, it’s all going to work out. If you adopt this attitude, you’ll be stress-free, instead of worrying about what you cannot control.
I CREATE MY OWN STANDARD OF BEAUTY.
Hi comparison. Hi social media. It’s the easiest thing to wonder why we don’t look like this or aren’t skinny like “them.” Our bodies are so so different, for a good reason. Embrace what you look like and work what chu got.
I LOVE MYSELF.
Breathe in and out, and say that to yourself. Look in the mirror, embracing every imperfection and say it. It’s time to become best friends with yourself. Root for yourself, love yourself.
I LOVE WHERE I AM.
This is one of the first mantras I started to say to myself. I was stuck in a semester of school, had 20 million things on my plate, and I was ready to give up. I didn’t love where I was. As I started to say that, more and more, I started appreciating my life–right then and there. And things started to look up.
I AM WHOLE.
Saying this is a reminder that you don’t need anything or anyone to feel complete. You are whole on your own.
I AM ENOUGH.
After doing this shoot, with words proclaiming that I am enough on my face, I went home and felt anything but. I felt like I was in a rut and nothing was going right, so I started listing all of the negative things in my life. I had to stop myself right there and remind myself that just because nothing is going perfectly, and just cause I don’t feel 100%, doesn’t mean that I am not enough. I’m enough despite all of that, no matter what.
I’m a mess, like all of the time. I struggle to get to the gym. And my body isn’t perfect.
But nevertheless, I AM ENOUGH. And so are you. You deserve the world and the moon and the stars. Don’t let anyone treat you like you deserve anything less, most of all yourself.
I write this post because I want you to get closer to lasting happiness and believing in yourself. Sending all of my love across the interwebs to you.
P.S. If you were wondering, yes, that’s snow on the ground, and yes, it was quite cold in that short sleeve tee. 😂
