Let me tell ya, I’m a treasure hunter. I do enjoy splurging on items and definitely prefer quality items, but being only 19 years old, I don’t have a beautifully flowing income quite yet. So, I take that as a challenge and set out to find pieces that look great but don’t cost me everything.
This sweater I found at Goodwill ($8) a few years back, and has truly become a staple in my closet. It’s originally from Nordstrom, so that helps. The pants, I found for $5 at a night market in Thailand. The booties were on super clearance so they were only $13 (real leather!). The purse was $20 from Kohl’s. So that makes my entire outfit less than $50? Sweet.
Knowing what you’re looking for and when to splurge is key. Splurging is okay when you know you will get maximum wear out of the item. If I can only wear a skirt with two things, I’m not as likely to buy it. If it can go with 10 things in my closet, I’m pretty much sold.
If you are ever in need of finding an outfit that looks great but doesn’t break the bank, I’m totally your girl. I can find you exactly what you need either in person or online.
By the way, who is loving this fall weather?! 🙂
